The Chinese Gold Panda coin was first introduced in 1982. The design of the coin changes each year (with one exception). The Chinese Gold Panda is legal tender in the People’s Republic of China and currently issued in face values ranging from 25 to 500 Yuan.
The coin comes in sizes 1/20 oz, 1/10 oz, ¼ oz, ½ oz, and 1 oz. However, in 1991, the mint issued 1g Gold Panda coins that had a face value of 3 Yuan.
The first Gold Panda coin was produced in 1982 in sizes of 1, ½, ¼, and 1/10 oz, while the 1/20 oz size was added a year later.
