The call of God was evident upon Bishop Michael Eugene Hill, Sr.

from early childhood. As a son of the Church of God in Christ, the hand of the Lord rested heavily upon him while being prepared for ministry. Every era of his life yielded to the priming of God in preparation for his divine purpose.

Bishop Hill is a native of Detroit, Michigan.

Upon completion of high school, he attended Detroit College of Business and Highland Park Junior College majoring in accounting. He later attended Saints Junior College in Lexington, Mississippi.
